Xbox 360 Fall Dashboard update due on 4th Dec, Friends of Friends detailedTuesday 27 Nov 2007 Xbox 360 fans will be delighted to know that the Fall Dashboard update will be released on the 4th of December. One of the highlights of next Tuesday’s update will be ‘Friends of Friends,’ a new feature that allows you to browse the friends list of anyone on your Xbox Live friends list as well as send anyone on your friends list a friends request. Friends of Friends will allow Xbox Live members to find old friends, make new friends, send messages and game invites and compare games and achievements. The update will also allow you to control who can see your friends list by adding a ‘Friends List’ setting in the Dashboard (look out for it in the dash next week after the update) and on Xbox.com. The settings will be as follows: Everyone (only available to members 18 and older); Friends only (available to members 13 and older) and Blocked (available to all members, and automatic for anyone under the age of 13). Microsoft has also pointed out that you will run into problems if you have a child account but are now over 18. They are working on the technology to graduate the account and promised to keep us posted regarding this issue. When the dashboard update is released, the new default setting will be Everyone (if you are 18 years and older). If you do not want to share your friend’s list, check out Xbox.com to modify the setting and if you want to keep your friends list private sign in at Xbox.com to change the setting to Blocked. You have a week to choose which setting to adopt for this new feature, however, if you elect to do nothing the default setting will kick in when the update goes live next week. You can change the setting as often as you like. Although there are other features in the fall update this is the only one, other than the Xbox Originals, which has been detailed to date.

That's a very cool feature!
It'll increase the xbox social network a long way. It's definitely another great movement from Microsoft to make Xbox Live the best social multiplayer network available.
I'm eagearly waiting for the fall update!
Nice.. Now I can stalk all those ALMA & YGFU Clan members..
SOUNDS BORING! How about a browser? How about Video Chat? XBOX is just for playing games and is far too restrictive, doesnt let you do anything, it seems like when ever I put in an old XBOX game it doesnt work. Plus they all break eventually, not worth using for anything else but games. Im sure everyone has been eagerly anticipating being able to browse a 'Friend List" whew! What and achievment! XBOX how bout you get rid of all the ads you pop onto my XBOX trying to sell me something every second Im on. JOKE
i just downloaded it, i thought it stuffed my xbox up. my xbox live and games d/b didnt load, i was getting frustrated. i thought it was my themes that were screwing around with it, so i change my theme and then i worked, what a relief. what a noob moment....
