God of War II tops UK Chart

Sony’s PS2 exclusive God of War II has topped the All Formats software chart in the UK. Sony also made an appearance on the chart at number 3 with the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion which was just released this week.

Sony also managed to scrape into number 6 and 16 with its two new first-party releases Singstar Pop Hits and Buzz!: The Mega Quiz, respectively. Meanwhile Nintendo had to settle for not second but fourth best with Wii Play, while last week’s number 1 Pokémon Ranger dropped to number 5.

Diddy Kong Racing DS entered the chart at number 13, now only in its second week of release. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dropped from number 2 to number 7 while Harvest Moon DS fell to number 8 followed by Brain Training in number 9. Virtua Tennis 3 moved up to number 10.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is the highest climber this week, moving up from number 22 to number 11. Taking this week’s biggest faller award was Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which was down from number 8 to number 27.

The first 17 weeks of 2007 have now seen 12 different titles at the top of the All Formats Chart.
