New songs and downloadable content for Guitar Hero II on Xbox 360Wednesday 10 Jan 2007 Activision has announced new downloadable content for Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360. The content will be downloadable through Xbox Live Marketplace. Fans can also look forward to trying their hand at over 70 songs. Guitar Hero II on the Xbox 360 provides rock fans with rock venues, characters, guitars and play modes. Gamers can also look forward to unlocking achievement points, the ability to download themes and picture packs as well as the new songs. If you have a competitive streak you can make use of the online leaderboard feature. This leaderboard will be available through Xbox Live and will allow gamers to track high scores and compete against other Guitar Heroes. Track list The Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II will have an additional 10 songs. Here is what the tracklist looks like so far: - Billion Dollar Babies (as made famous by Alice Cooper) - Hush (as made famous by Deep Purple) - Dead! (by My Chemical Romance) - Life Wasted (as made famous by Pearl Jam) - Rock N Roll Hoochie Koo (as made famous by Rick Derringer) Rock on! “Guitar Hero is all about feeling like a rock star, and we’re adding to the experience by offering our fans an exciting pipeline of new songs, fun and exclusive downloadable content, and the opportunity to see who rocks hardest with an online leaderboard,” said Dusty Welch, head of publishing at RedOctane. “The expansive capabilities of the Xbox 360 will allow us to provide a consistent stream of fresh new content to our fans, and we plan on fully supporting these efforts.” Guitar Hero II is published by Red Octane. It will be available in spring for the 360.
