Win Mario Kart DS - (Closed)

Congratulations to Marc Crowther who won this all time DS classic! Thanks to everyone for entering and to Core Gaming for their ongoing support!

Mario Kart DSDespite being released in most regions roughly two years ago, Mario Kart DS remains popular on the gaming charts and a firm favourite among most gamers.

Mario’s racing adventure was released on the Nintendo DS in December 2005 in Japan. According to Japan-Game Chart, it sold 224 411 copies in its opening week and its life-to-date figures stand at 2.9 million, earning it sixth place on the best selling NDS games of all time in the land of the rising sun.

Across the pond, UK gamers are still racing happily in the Mushroom Kingdom with the latest Chart Track figures showing that Mario DS ranks number 28 on the UK’s All Formats Chart for the week ending the 19th of April.

Moving closer to home, Mario Kart DS was an obvious choice as a launch title when Core Gaming re-launched the NDS on South Africa’s sunny shores. It is still the most popular game at our DS lans but, fun and skill aside, with up to 8 players being able to play off a single game card, it’s hardly a surprise.

The bottom line is that Mario Kart DS is one game that should have a treasured spot on your gaming shelf. So, if you don’t yet have this gem, listen up. Even if you do have a copy, gather in close because what better gift could you give than one which will provide hours and hours of gaming fun.
