El33t’s Pre-W33kend Post: Star Wars, LEGO and family timeWritten by: / / 2 Comments
South Africans will be going into this weekend a little more relaxed than usual after enjoying a three-day working week thanks to a couple of well placed public holidays. With another holiday on the horizon next Wednesday it certainly feels like we’ve been transported to the December break seven months early!
How do members of El33tonline plan to spend their respective weekends in sun-soaked Durban? Let’s find out with the latest Pre-W33kend Post…
“After a busy week with house renovations I’m hoping to enjoy some sunshine and relaxation over the next few days. Possibly a breakfast out, maybe a stroll on the beach, and then a round or two of Plants versus Zombies: Garden Warfare to end it off!
Have a great weekend p33ps!”
“This weekend I plan to just take it easy and spend some quality time with family and friends. My health has finally taken a turn for the better so I can once again enjoy some treats like chip and dip, pies and all the other nice things that make my tastebuds sing.
I’ve only got one or two more districts to clear in inFamous: Second Son before I’ve done pretty much all there is to do in the game, and I’m keen to spend some more time playing Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl so I can have the review ready for you sometime next week.
Enjoy the weekend p33ps and I hope all the public holidays we’ve been having of late have put you in a relaxed frame of mind.”
“Honestly, this weekend has rushed up on us and I have no idea what my plans are yet.
There will be family time (that’s a given). There will be rugby (this morning – great way to start the weekend while at work). There will be gaming – if nothing more, some FTL Advanced Edition or maybe, hopefully, I can negotiate my way into doing a Lego game
Update: This just in! I am doing Lego: The Hobbit! Looking forward to it indeed! (special mention to Russell for letting me with the tug-of-war for the game)”
“Didn’t we just have a w33kend? Well I am not complaining. This weekend is going to be full as always. With some games, family time and fun.
Tonight I will attempt some Battlefield 4 as my net has been giving me some issues and I am getting the awful thing called flu. Tomorrow I will play some Warface and maybe some Assassins Creed Revelations (Yes, I know I am bit behind). Sunday is Star Wars day, so I will be playing some Star Wars games.
I will be helping out at a 5 a Side Soccer day tomorrow, by making Bacon & Egg rolls for the crowds and then I will be taking my daughter to a birthday party. Then I will spend some time with my family before I dive back into the virtual world of gaming.
So have fun this w33kend and play many games. See you all online. Stay safe.”
“Well this weekend is my long weekend (finally) because I’ve been working all the others. So I am really looking forward to it.
The main focus is, of course, family and I am looking forward to spending the time with my boys on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Going to have lots and lots of fun.
It is Star Wars day on Sunday so, of course, there will be some Star Wars action happening. Maybe check out the Unseen Shoppe and also watch a few movies with the boys. Perhaps Lego Star Wars will have to be played as well.
Other games played will include XCom (I finished the game so now I am looking to pick up a few achievements), Diablo 3 and some Fifa14 – been hit by the bug again with Fifa 14 World Cup Brazil. Board gaming will also happen and include Settlers, Discworld and maybe something new …we’ll see.
Of course I am looking forward to voting and executing my civic duty on Wednesday.
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Have lots of fun and don’t do anything I wouldn’t.”
