Last Friday PS Vita fans received some unexpected news - the highly anticipated PS3 title Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will also be released on PS Vita, on the same day as the PS3 version! The game will be released sometime during the latter part of this year and will feature cross platform save functionality between the two versions. As you would expect, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time on Vita also makes use of the system’s innovative controls by featuring such conveniences as SixAxis aiming.

El33tonline friend and reader MacDeath_ZA gave us an awesome surprise on Twitter today - the El33tonline logo recreated in Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition!
Thanks Mackie D, that’s outstanding work! The logo shine is even in there! Simply amazing.
I have two words for you: Minecraft Phenomenon.
When I took on Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, I had volunteered to review it for nothing else but simple curiosity. Even though I’ve been seeing mention of this game in Internet articles for a while now and I’ve heard people talking in hushed tones about the game around the office water cooler, I had no idea what Minecraft was and I needed to find out for myself what all the fuss was about.

I have made no secret that I think story is the most important part of gaming for me. Yes, it usually ties together with how the game is played and where it is set, but without a good story, many games fall flat on their faces. Nowhere is a story as important as in an adventure game, so when I played episode one of The Walking Dead, I was kind of hoping the story would be good enough to draw my attention.
The end result was me playing the same game three times, just because the story was so darn good! Plus every time I played I could choose a different outcome - one that would not only affect the game I was currently playing, but also the future episodes of the series. To better explain, I think it’s best for me to start walking and stop running.

In my searches for Friday Fr33bies I have come across a few really weird games. But when you have a multiplayer platform game where one random player is a level designer then things get a little weirder. Oh, and you are all mice trying to get home with the cheese.
With the news today that El33tonline has been featured in the latest edition of EA Insider, we reckon it’s almost time to put a bow on this week and put our feet up… but not before telling you a few tales of the weekend to come as we look at what activities members of El33tonline will be filling their time with over the next two days.
Jumping castles and 3DS Coin collection? Bittersweet goodbyes and journeys to fantasy lands? Secret previews, E3 plans, maximum payne and blue speedsters?
Sounds like a regular old weekend around here - we’re so boring! Inject some excitement into proceedings and let us know your plans, too!
Those of you who are regular visitors to the European PlayStation Store may have seen something a little out of the ordinary when it updated on Wednesday. Sorcery was available to pre-order a week before its release day - the first time that a full, retail PS3 game has been listed on the PS Store before its release.
Sony has tried to market the PlayStation Move in a variety of ways over the past couple of years but ultimately there hasn’t been enough software support for the peripheral to take it mainstream. Sorcery is Sony’s biggest PS Move title so far and has been in development for over three years at California-based developer The Workshop. This promising title will finally be released next week on Blu-ray and as a digital download via the PlayStation Store.
I was very sad that I missed last week’s Battlefield Friday, but another Friday has arrived and I’m back with my pakkie plysters and ready to support my squad, because team work is key on the battlefield.
In this fifth issue of El33t Hobbies, El33tonline community member Brendon Bosch (aka SWKEH) tells us about his love of hip hop music and mentions a number of his favourite artists.
If you want to step into a culture you may not be completely familiar with, and learn about an up-and-coming South African artist by the name of Mr Rex, don’t hesitate to read Brendon’s fascinating journey through music!
It’s hip to be SKWEH, so take it aweh:
It’s almost time to put on your sneaking suit, bandanna and optional eyepatch because Konami has finally announced the release date for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection Vita. Gamers in both the US and European territories will be able to get their hands on this long-awaited title from June 12th, with the game being available from retailers and as a digital download via the PlayStation Store.
The latest episode of the PlayStation Blogcast contains some good news for people who complained when Journey launched on the PlayStation Store two months ago with no trial or demo. This coming Tuesday, May 22nd, a free sample for Journey will appear on the US PlayStation Store, allowing PSN gamers to see what all the fuss is about before parting with $15 to buy the full version.
Just a short while ago we featured Lyle Arends (LAblak22) and Fayyaad Hendricks (Tyrannicalduck) in our new El33t Hobbies feature. In addition to being avid gamers, we discovered that both Lyle and Fayyaad were in fact very talented artists.
So, when we were thinking of a competition idea for Darksiders, we thought let’s see how Lyle and Fayyaad would choose to represent War in a drawing, each in their own distinctive styles.
Thanks to THQ, and in celebration of the impending release of Darksiders II, we’re going to be giving away a copy of the original Darksiders on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC as well as a few themed goodies, and for a chance to win, we’re going to ask you to bring out your inner art critic. The kind, soft-spoken one, mind you.

IndieRoyale, one of the groups distributing bundles of cool indie games and music for pretty much any price you want, has just announced their latest bundle. The “All Charity Lightning Pack” is the first bundle of its kind that gives 100% of the proceeds to charity. Normally the developers, the bundle hosts and charities shared in the proceeds. This time they get it all!
The PlayStation Network has really come a long way over the past few years and now offers a larger dose of weekly digital content than ever before. With a range of categories that include PS3 Full Games, PSN titles, PSone/PS2 Classics and PSP/PS Vita games, PSN always seems to have a few glittering gems enticing you to open your wallet.
