Sony has released (what looks like) a time-lapse video of a 3D modeller creating a ferocious looking creature, but this isn’t any 3D model for just any application – it’s a Leviathan for the upcoming God of War III, ready to give you a nasty scrape with its long, thorn-like barbs. Ouch!
So get out the plasters, and watch a Leviathan getting modelled in 3D in this behind-the-scenes video, below:
Two heavyweight titles have today been added to the Xbox LIVE Games on Demand digital download service in the form of Capcom’s Street Fighter IV, and Microsoft’s own Halo Wars, while Japanese Xbox 360 gamers can enjoy the top-down scrolling shooter, Shooting Love 200X.

Mass Effect 2 will today be receiving the all new Cerberus Assault Armour, as well as the M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun downloadable content (DLC), for the grand price of free.
PC and Xbox 360 gamers will both “hopefully” be able to get the items through the game’s Cerberus Network later today at 12PM MST/19:00 GMT.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Jem Alexander has posted an extensive question and answer session on the European PlayStation Blog, interviewing Final Fantasy XIII producer, Yoshinori Kitase, and the game’s director, Motomu Toriyama.
The interview deals with all sorts of interesting topics, including Final Fantasy XIII’s ties to Versus XIII and Agito XIII, the question of whether or not there will be a demo, what the team will be up to next, the chance of an HD remake of prior Final Fantasy games, and more.

A brilliant looking time-twisting puzzle platformer by the name of The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom will be arriving on Xbox LIVE Arcade on February 17th, courtesy 2K Games’ Play label and indie developers The Odd Gentlemen, and after watching the launch trailer for the game below, you may just think that that date can’t come soon enough.
[UPDATE] Ubisoft Community Developer Aymeric Evennou has confirmed that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will release on the PS3 as well as the Xbox 360. According to an update on his Twitter account the PS3 version will be the “same experience, same development team and same release date.” The game will also be available on the PC.[END OF UPDATE]
Ubisoft has today officially announced the publisher’s next entry into the Ghost Recon franchise in the form of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, which is set to release ‘this Holiday,’ with an exclusive multiplayer beta available to play ‘this Summer.’
Polyphony Digital, subsidiaries of Sony Computer Entertainment, recently announced that as of December 2009, it has sold 55.45 million units across its entire series of realistic driving simulation games, Gran Turismo.
After releasing its fiscal third quarter results recently, EA revealed its intended release line-up for the upcoming year and beyond, with mentions going to a bevy of sequels, a console version of The Sims 3, and that mystery shooter from Epic Games and its subsidiary, People Can Fly.
Let me start by admitting that I wasn’t always the biggest fan of the Aliens or Predators franchise. In fact I was somewhat reluctantly introduced to it through my first screening of the Aliens vs Predator film. And I will even go as far as to admit that I didn’t know which was the Alien and which was the Predator.
However, I suppose you could say that this was the beginning of my education in all matters of Aliens and Predators, and before long I found that I couldn’t get enough of the action. So you can imagine that I have been following the Aliens vs Predator videogame with quite a bit of interest and anticipation. Not even the guts and gore could distract me from eagerly downloading the game’s multiplayer demo as soon as it was delivered into our hands last week.

Electronic Arts posted a net loss of $82 million for its third fiscal quarter ending December 31st 2009, down a whopping $641 million compared to the same period the year previous, but as net losses fell, so too did the publisher’s revenue for the quarter.

Ferrari will be returning to Need for Speed after a seven year hiatus. This is the latest news from EA who today announced that players will be able to download a new content pack on the 16th of February that delivers 10 Ferrari cars to the game.
EA and developer BioWare have announced that Dragon Age: Origins has shipped over 3.2 million units worldwide.

Sega has released a new trailer for their upcoming sci-fi FPS Aliens vs Predator, this one showing how players can master close combat attacks of the three different species in multiplayer.

LucasArts and TT Games have announced that development is underway for LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. The game will be available for the Wii, DS, PS3, PSP and Xbox 360 in fall 2010.
LEGO Star Wars III promises to “combine the best elements of all previous LEGO games while adding brand new gameplay to make it the most action-packed LEGO videogame to date.” The same Traveller’s Tales team that created the LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones series will be in charge of development duties for LEGO Star Wars III.
